How it Started: Hangar 11 was originally established as a place to store radio-controlled aircraft. As the collection grew, it became clear that the space needed a name, and Hangar 11 was created. Since then, its mission has been centered around three goals: Fly, Build, and Entertain. Today, Hangar 11 has evolved into an all-in-one space dedicated to achieving those goals. Below is a breakdown of what Fly, Build, and Entertain mean to Team Hangar 11.
Our Mission: At Hangar 11, our mission is to make RC aviation more accessible through straightforward instruction, detailed product reviews, real-world experience, and engaging content. Through the principles of Fly. Build. Entertain., we encourage pilots to expand their skills, explore new aircraft, build, repair, and enjoy every aspect of the hobby.
FLY:
Flying is Hangar 11’s commitment to promoting electric flight and exploring the possibilities of radio-controlled aviation. We take to the field to fly a variety of aircraft, each offering a unique flying experience. Whether it is a showstopping 3D performance or a scale civilian demonstration, Hangar 11 is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in RC aviation. We believe that true excellence in radio control comes from flying different types of aircraft and mastering a wide range of flying styles.
Build:
Building is an essential part of the RC hobby. Whether it is a completely new build or a repair of an already-loved aircraft, Hangar 11 promotes the process of tinkering, improving, and maintaining aircraft to ensure smooth performance in the air. The space incorporates a dedicated workspace that allows for efficient building and repairs. With a large workbench and dedicated soldering station, Hangar 11 SD has never been more equipped to build and repair a variety of aircraft.
Entertain:
Entertaining is a major part of what Hangar 11 is meant to achieve. With its dedicated flying space for Ultra Micros and built-in simulator, the physical space provides Team Pilots with a great environment for improving skills and experiencing the hobby. However, entertainment goes much further than the physical space. Through Instagram and YouTube, Hangar 11 shares what the team is working on and the aircraft the team is flying. Hangar 11 also creates product reviews and tutorials designed to give viewers an inside look into the hobby without the time commitment of longer-form content typically found on YouTube.
